The Low-Loss Header, also known as a hydraulic balancer, is a crucial component for optimising performance and saving money and maintenece costs in avarage, midium  and high-power heating systems (including those found in typical houses). It excels in installations with multiple boilers and diverse heating circuits (such as floor heating, radiators, domestic hot water, and integration with heat pumps and solar panels for a more comprehensive and energy-efficient heating system).

  • Independent Pump Operation: The hydraulic balancer separates boiler and heating circuit flows, allowing each pump to function independently. This eliminates the need for complex manual balancing of pump flows.
  • Enhanced Boiler Protection: The hydraulic balancer has a built-in desilter,  AND  magnet( SMART system ), which removes impurities and air pockets from the system, mitigating low-temperature corrosion, a significant threat to boilers. Neodymium magnets are particularly effective in attracting ferrous metal contaminants.

Scenario 1: If the building’s heat requirement matches the boiler’s output, the balancer maintains optimal flow.
Scenario 2: When demand falls (e.g., closed radiator valves), excess heat returns through the balancer, signalling the boiler to reduce output or shut down.
Scenario 3: If demand exceeds the boiler’s capacity, increased pump suction informs the boiler via the balancer to raise output.
