HPP Low-Loss Header Model P2470OC 6×1″ 70 kW
The P2470OC low-loss header is an outstanding solution tailored for compatibility with any heat pump system, including Monoblock and Split configurations.
This advanced device facilitates the hydraulic balancing of two pumping circuits in heat pump installations, offering superior flexibility. It effectively separates the pumping circuit of the heat source—whether a heat pump or another heat source—or two independent heat sources within a single central heating system.
Using a low-loss header ensures proper hydraulic conditions for circulation pumps by accurately balancing flow rates and pressure. This feature not only protects the system’s core component—the heat pump—but also prolongs the lifespan of circulating pumps, enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of the installation.
Beyond its primary purpose, the low-loss header also offers additional benefits. Its integrated air vent and drain valves allow it to serve as both an air eliminator and a contaminant separator, maintaining system performance and cleanliness.
When correctly selected and installed, the low-loss header prevents the issue of cold return in the heating system, safeguarding the heat pump against this potentially harmful condition.
The P2470OC low-loss header is a highly adaptable and universal solution, compatible not only with heat pumps but also with other heat sources. It can manage systems powered by one or even two heat sources, making it particularly effective for extensive installations using gas boilers—especially condensing models—sensitive to pressure imbalances and cold return conditions.
In heating systems that combine underfloor heating with radiators, the P2470OC low-loss header allows the connection of two independently regulated circuits. Each circuit can operate with its own dedicated circulation pump.
The header balances flow rates across the system, addressing cases where the installation flow might exceed the capacity of the boiler pump. Additionally, it functions as a distribution manifold, effectively creating three independent circuits:
- One primary heating circuit for the heat source (e.g., condensing boiler),
- Two separate output circuits (e.g., radiators and underfloor heating).
The low-loss header also ensures that the return water entering the boiler is not excessively cooled. This feature is particularly critical for modern boilers, which can experience performance degradation and wear due to cold return water.
Key Features:
Reliable Separation of Pumping Circuits: Effectively separates pumping circuits for single or dual heat sources, ensuring optimal hydraulic balance throughout the system.Balanced Pressure and Temperature Distribution: Prevents pressure and temperature fluctuations, protectng system components and maximizing overall efficiency.
Enhanced Pump Performance and Lifespan: Ensures even distribution of flow rates, reducing strain on pumps and extending their service life.
Air Venting and Impurity Removal: Facilitates air venting and removal of impurities through a dedicated drain valve, maintaining system integrity.
Temperature Boost Function: Optionally raises the temperature of return water, enhancing system efficiency.
